Timetabling for talk: "David Hume: Agnostic or Atheist?"

Postby Cai on Sun Jan 06, 2008 11:34 pm

As was discussed in the exec meeting today, Dan O'Brien, who is giving the talk "David Hume: Agnostic or Atheist?" has had to reschedule the talk to a later date. In his email to WA he said:
Hi Warwick Atheists

Happy New Year!

It turns out that the arranged date for my talk is not so good for me. Would it be possible to change it. Ideal would be a Thursday -- any from Jan 30 onwards (but not feb 14). Sorry for any inconvenience.

Cheers

Dan

When we reschedule it to will, I think, be contingent on when we can get a room booked for. The original time was going to be Jan 23rd, H0.52 (or H0.51?) at 19:00-21:00, so far as I can make out from the emails (it was Alex who originally took care of this).

I've triend to use the university's room booking service (which I think is accessible from https://secure.admin.warwick.ac.uk/abs/) but for some reason it's not working on my computer right now :/

Since I'm going to be über busy over the next 2-3 days, perhaps someone else (who perhaps has more experience with the system than me) could take a look to see if it works for them?

Once we've booked a room, I'll run it by Dan O'Brien to see if it's OK with him. :)

I've tried to book a room now, and am still awaiting my conformation email.

I've also made a poster - what do people think? Feel free to tell me if you think it could be better!

Sounds just fine to me, Cai :) And I'm liking the poster, the second version definitely looks better.

The poster looks good! Did you have a go at making it Black and White to see if it still looked okay?

It looks ok B&W, although obviously nicer and more visually appealing in colour. I guess we'll see what it's like printing in colour for the Pointless posters, and whether it's worth the extra money?

I've printed some colour ones and they're in the pigeon hole - people should feel free to put them up as well as photocopying them in B&W.

I've also put one up in the Union North notice board :)
